What the Toast Means

“To those that went” honors those who once wore the uniform, served proudly, and have since laid it down. Their service paved the way for every generation that follows.

“To those that are there still” salutes those serving now—at home, overseas, and across every branch—who continue to guard the freedoms we cherish.

“To those that have not returned” acknowledges those who came home changed—carrying the visible and invisible wounds of war. We honor their strength and their struggle.

“And to those that never will” remembers those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Their names, their courage, and their legacy live on in our hearts and in our freedom.

Why We Do It

Each evening at 7:00 PM, the Legion Family pauses together in reflection and gratitude. It’s a moment to unite across generations—to honor those who served, to remember those still fighting their battles, and to keep faith with those who never came home.

We raise our glass not just in remembrance, but in commitment—to continue serving veterans, their families, and our communities with honor, loyalty, and love.
